O prêmio SAG Awards, que foi entregue no último domingo, dia 19 de janeiro, costuma ser um termômetro pro Oscar e o grande vencedor foi Parasita,o filme sul-coreano que está arrebatando fãs no mundo inteiro. Primeira vez que um filme estrangeiro ganhar Melhor Elenco no SAG. Foi a noite de mais uma consagração de Renee Zelwegger em Judy, Joaquin Phoenix em Coringa, Brad Pitt em Era uma vez em Hollywood e Laura Dern em História de um Casamento. Os quatro são favoritaços ao Oscar em 9 de fevereiro. O homenageado da noite foi Robert De Niro que nunca ganhou um SAG. Ganhou pelo conjunto da obra das mãos de Leonardo Dicapprio.
O momento cute da noite foi o encontro de Brad Pitt e Jennifer Aniston nos bastidores do prêmio. Ele ganhou Melhor Ator Coadjuvante por Era uma Vez em Hollywood e ela ganhou Melhor Atriz em Série por The Morning Show, da Apple TV. O encontro dos dois caiu na rede e foi um dos Trending Topics do Twitter.
A bola fora foi a TNT não ter transmitido por causa de um amistoso entre Atlético Paranaense e Boca Juniors.
